United Arab Emirates flag

The flag of the United Arab Emirates is a horizontal tricolour featuring the colours (from the top of the flag to the bottom of the flag) green, white and black, with a vertical red bar at the hoist side of the flag measuring one-quarter the width of the flag. The flag's colours are the Pan-Arab colours.

The flag of the United Arab Emirates was officially adopted on 2 December 1971. The flag was designed by Abdulla Mohamed Al Maainah.

The flag's ratio is 1:2.
