The flag of Ukraine consists of a horizontal bicolour of blue (top of the flag) and yellow (bottom of the flag). The flag's blue colour is said to represent the sky whilst the flag's yellow colour is said to represent the vast fields of grain across Ukraine.
The flag of Ukraine was briefly adopted in 1918 for a short period of independence prior to Soviet rule. The flag was eventually re-adopted on 28 January 1992 following independence from Soviet Rule.
The flag's ratio is 2:3.
