The flag of The Bahamas is a horizontal tricolour of (from the top of the flag to the bottom of the flag) aquamarine, gold and aquamarine with a black triangle at the hoist of the flag.
The flag of The Bahamas was officially adopted on 10 July 1973 following the country gaining its independence from Britain. The flag's aquamarine colour is said to represent the Caribbean sea surrounding the islands whilst the flag's gold colour is said to represent the sandy beaches of the islands.
The flag's ratio is 1:2.
