The flag of Syria is a horizontal tricolour with the colours (from the top of the flag to the bottom of the flag) red, white and black. In the centre of the white band sit two green five-pointed stars.

The flag of Syria was first adopted in 1958 and was used until 1961 before its readoption on 30 March 1980.

The flag's ratio is 2:3.
