Royal Australian Air Force flag
The Royal Australian Air Force Ensign is the ensign used by the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF). The RAAF Ensign was proclaimed as an official Flag of Australia under section 5 of the Flags Act on 6 May 1982.
The RAAF Ensign consists of the Union Jack in the canton with a light blue field emblazoned with a white Commonwealth Star and a white Southern Cross constellation, as well as the RAAF roundel in the lower fly quarter of the flag featuring a red kangaroo on a white background within a dark blue ring. The RAAF Ensign is based on the Australian National Flag, with the field changed to the lighter Air Force blue and the Southern Cross constellation tilted clockwise in order to make room for the RAAF roundel.
