Republic Of The Congo flag
The flag of the Republic Of The Congo is a diagonal tricolour comprising the colours (from the upper hoist of the flag to the lower fly of the flag) green, yellow and red. The colours of the flag of the Republic Of The Congo are the widely used Pan African colours.
The flag of the Republic Of The Congo originated as the flag of the autonomous republic established in 1959. The flag was retained when the country gained full independence from France in 1960. A different flag was adopted between 1970 and 1991 before the original flag was reinstated.
The flag's ratio is 2:3.
