The flag of Panama is divided into 4 equal rectangle quadrants:
- The upper hoist side quadrant is white with a blue five pointed star at its centre.
- The upper fly side quadrant is red.
- The lower hoist side quadrant is blue.
- The lower fly side quadrant is white with a red five pointed star at its centre.
The flag's red colour represents the Liberal Party whilst the flag's blue colour represents the Conservative Party.
The flag was designed by the family of Panama leader Manuel Amador Guerrero and was officially adopted on 25 March 1925. The flag's ratio is 2:3.
The flag of Panama flies
