The flag of Palestine is a horizontal tricolour with the colours (from the top of the flag to the bottom of the flag) black, white and green, with a red triangle at the hoist of the flag. The flag of Palestine represents the State of Palestine as well as the Palestinian people. The flag of Palestine was first adopted by the Palestinian Liberation Organisation on 28 May 1964 and became the official flag of the State of Palestine on 15 November 1988. The flag's colours are the Pan-Arab colours.
