The flag of New Caledonia is a horizontal tricolour featuring the colours (from the top of the flag to the bottom of the flag) blue, red and green. Towards the hoist of the flag is a yellow disc outlined in black inside which sits a black fleche faitiere (a traditional wooden totem monument).
The flag of New Caledonia was officially adopted on 13 July 2010 following the Congress of New Caledonia voting to fly the flag of the Kanak and Socialist National Liberation Front alongside the French flag as the country's two official flags.
The flag's ratio is 1:2.
