Kuwait flag

The flag of Kuwait is a horizontal tricolour of (from the top of the flag to the bottom of the flag) green, white and red, with a black trapezium at the hoist. The colours of the flag of Kuwait are the Pan-Arab colours.

The flag of Kuwait was officially adopted on 7 September 1961 following Kuwait gaining its independence from British rule.

The flag's ratio is 1:2.
