El Salvador flag

The flag of El Salvador is a horizontal tricolour with the colours (from the top of the flag to the bottom of the flag) blue, white and blue. A the centre of the flag sits the national coat of arms of El Salvador. The flag of El Salvador is sometimes referred to as 'Bandera Magna' (translating to 'Magna flag'). The flag was officially adopted as the national flag of El Salvador on 17 May 1912. The flag's ratio is 3:5.
