The flag of Croatia is a horizontal tricolour with the colours (from the top of the flag to the bottom of the flag) red, white and blue. At the centre of the flag is the coat of arms of Croatia. The flag is sometimes referred to as 'the Trobojnica' (meaning 'the Tricolour').
Croatia has been using the Pan-Slavic colours of red, white and blue on its flags since 1848. The current flag of Croatia was officially adopted on 21 December 1990, shortly prior to independence from Yugoslavia.
The flag's ratio is 1:2.
