The flag of Comoros comprises four equal horizontal bands of (from the top of the flag to the bottom of the flag) yellow, white, red and blue. At the hoist of the flag is a green triangle inside which sits a white crescent moon and four white five-pointed stars. The flag's four stripes and four stars each represent one of the four main islands of Comoros (Mwali, N'gazidja, Ndzuwani, and Mahore) whilst the triangle's colour of green and the crescent moon within it are symbols of Islam.
The flags of Comoros was officially adopted on 7 January 2002.
The flag's ratio is 3:5.
