The flag of Burundi is divided by a white diagonal cross into red (top and bottom) and green (hoist and fly) panels. At the centre of the flag is a white disk with three red six-pointed stars outlined in green at its centre.
The flag's three stars represent the three major ethnic groups of Burundi - the Tutsi, the Hutu and the Twa.
The flag's ratio is 3:5.
