Bosnia And Herzegovina flag
The flag of Bosnia And Herzegovina is set on a blue field and features a yellow triangle with nine white five-pointed stars (two of them partial) along the edge of the triangle.
Following its break away from Yugoslavia in 1992, Bosnia And Herzegovina adopted a plain white flag, signalling neutrality. On 4 February 1998, the current flag was adopted following its design by a committee featuring representatives from all three main ethnic groups in Bosnia And Herzegovina (the Bosniaks, the Croatians and the Serbians). The flag's blue and yellow colours, as well as its stars, recall the flag of the European Union. The shape of the flag's triangle is roughly the geographical shape of Bosnia And Herzegovina whilst the triangle's three points represent its three main ethnic groups.
The flag's ratio is 1:2.
