Australia Royal Standard (Queen Elizabeth II)

The Royal Standard of Australia (Queen Elizabeth II) flag, officially known as the Queen's Personal Australian Flag, was the personal flag of Queen Elizabeth II in her capacity and duties as Queen of Australia. The Royal Standard of Australia flag was first used in 1962.

The Royal Standard of Australia (Queen Elizabeth II) flag comprises six sections taken from the Australian coat of arms, each representing one of the six states of Australia:

• The upper left section represents New South Wales and bears a red St George's Cross, upon which is a gold lion in the centre and a gold star on each arm;
• The upper middle section represents Victoria and contains a Crown and five white stars on a blue field;
• The upper right section represents Queensland and consists of a blue Maltese cross, bearing a Crown, on a white field;
• The lower left section represents South Australia and comprises a Piping Shrike on a gold field;
• The lower middle section represents Western Australia and features a black swan on a gold field; and
• The lower right section represents Tasmania and depicts a red lion on a white field.

The flag is then defaced with a gold seven pointed Federation star within which sits a blue disc containing the letter E with a crown above it and surrounded by roses, all in the colour gold.
