Hawaii

The flag of Hawaii features the Union Jack in the canton with 8 horizontal stripes in the pattern of (from the top of the flag to the bottom of the flag) the colours white, red and blue. The Union Jack recalls a flag given to the King of Hawaii in 1793 and marks the British Empire's historical links with the Hawaiin Kingdom. The flag's 8 stripes represent the main islands of Hawaii. The flag was officially adopted on 29 December 1845 and remains the only state flag in the United States of America to include a foreign nation's flag. The flag's ratio is 1:2.
